About Us

Mission

The GCHC was formed for the promotion and advancement of honors and similar programs in institutions of higher learning located within the state of Georgia and to foster honors-type endeavors in other educational settings, such as high schools. The Council maintains a close affiliation with the Southern Regional Honors Council and the National Collegiate Honors Council.

Institutions of higher learning within the state of Georgia that offer honors work or have an interest in offering such work are eligible for institutional membership. Memberships in the Council may also be held by other institutions with an interest in honors, such as foundations or educational organizations.
